Pac-Man was launched onto the 360 marketplace on Wednesday, which sees the end of the summer arcade Wednesday's. It costs 400 MP (Microsoft Points), but as always a free trial is available to sample first.

Also released onto the market place is the 'Dead Rising' and 'Saints Row' demos. Both are a limited trial of the game, but give you a good idea of what they will be like. The 'Dead Rising' demo allows you 15 minutes of non stop zombie killing action in a mall. Numerous weapons are available in the demo, such as, teddy bears, frying pans, skateboards, trolleys and much more. 'Saint Row' is pretty much a GTA clone and not a very good one at that. It is worth the download but there's no way I'll be buying it.

Escape From Rhetundo Island is a game created by Robin Allen, for those of you who don't know who he is, he created such games as Hapland and it's sequel. Escape From Rhetundo Island is very similar to Hapland, you have to help a small stick man through the different levels by using items in your inventory or actions in the playing area such as levers and bridges. The game is supposedly easier than Hapland, which is very difficult without hints. But in my opinion the game is only slightly easier. Motherload

Motherload is another game from Xgen Studios. The game is set in the future and your mission is to 'dig' down into the planet looking for metal ore's and Gems. The further you go down the more dangerous the work gets but the bigger the rewards are. You deposit the metal ores and Gems in one of the buildings on the surface, for this you get money depending how much you deposit. With this money you can buy fuel or other tools to aid you in digging, e.g. TNT, Teleporters, and lots of other items for your digger such as, Armour, bigger fuel tanks, bigger capacity, bigger engines, ECT. I myself have never completed the game as it is takes ages, but there is a save option on the surface so you can come back another time and carry on from where you left off. Another thing your digger can fly. The controls are very simple you simply use your mouse to navigate the page and your arrow keys to move around.

UK users creating new Gmail accounts will not get a @Gmail.com email but a @Googlemail.com one instead. An independent research investment company based in London, claim they used the name 'Gmail' for a webmail application 2 years before Google used it. The logo has changed to a Google Mail logo (see above) for UK users only. According to Google it will not affect current users, but if another court case comes up in the future, Google cannot confirm that you will have your Gmail.com address forever. GMails current storage capacity is 2655mb.

Funky Truck 3

Funky Truck 3 is the most recent in the Funky Truck line, made up of 2 others, of course. The others are Funky Truck and Funky Truck 4WD. The game is made by Tea Games, who make a lot of similar games, using Bikes and other cars. The aim of the game is to progress as far as you can, by completing the levels, each one gets harder as you progress. But before you start you can 'Customise' your ride, decide what body shape, sized wheels, wheel type and shock absorber length you are going to use. This is the new feature to the game which the other didn't have. In my opinion the game is a little slow, the car doesn't move very fast, and the physics are all wrong. A better game is the second Funky Truck 4WD which has 14 levels and it plays quite well. Please feel free to leave comments on what your feelings are about the games.

I/O - World as a palette

Those clever people over at MIT Media Labs, the same who recently designed a $100 Laptop, Have created an I/O Brush. It is designed for children and is meant to help them with art and painting. The brush looks like a regular Painting brush, just a bit bigger, but it is fitted with a tiny camera, LEDs and touch sensors. The camera takes whatever it is viewing, and paints that image or colour onto the 'Canvas'.

They have created a short video, showing how it works and cool techniques of how it can be used, and as an added bonus there is some REALLY cool music to listen to.

As you may have heard by now, Google have released Google Reader, this release has come out of know where. It looks very similar to the Gmail format, and is a web based news aggregator. To use the service you need a Google accounts which most people with have, because of their Gmail accounts. The reader supports keyboard shortcuts, just like Gmail does. Many people are saying it is not ready for release and may have been rushed, for what ever reason. As you may have guessed it is in Beta, surprise surprise. I haven't really used the reader service yet and i don't plan to have much use out of it, i prefer using Firefox's built in service. But when Gmail was released i thought i didn't need it, now i can't live without it.

You may be wondering what on earth I'm on about, but ... Of the week is going to be a weekly post every Friday. The reason for the ... Is because it could be Game of the week or Site of the week and so on and so forth. This Fridays ... Of the week is game of the week.

This weeks game is called CandyStand Billiards, as you may have guessed its a billiards game, which can either be played against the computer or a friend. The games include 8 Ball, 9 Ball, straight pool and High Score Contest. My personal favorite is High Score Contest, the aim of the game is to sink as many balls as possible, you only have 10 shots to do this. Stick RPG

As some of you may know Stick RPG has been out for some time, but it is one of my all time best internet games. It is created by Xgenstudios, who create a lot of flash games, such as, Motherload and Castle. In the game you play as a small blue stick man, well ok a blue circle. The aim of the game is to buy everything in the game, you achieve this by building up your stats and being promoted. Thus giving you more money. The game has recently been completed, and it's sequel is imaginatively named Stick RPG 2, But has been in development since July 2003.

Gmail Auto Save

Gmail has just released an auto save function when writing long email. The feature kicks in after a few lines of writing, the message is saved in the drafts section for later viewing. A small message appears at the bottom of the message o say when it was last auto saved.

Google + Wifi = Free Access

As you may have heard, google has submitted plans to provide free wifi access to nearly 90% of San Francisco, it has been rumored that it will be supported by online advertising. In April oogle started to sponsor a free Wifi hotspot in Union Square. There is several other companies submitting plans to the city. Google plan to offer 300 kb/s, which is much faster than dial up. I just hope this is the start of free wifi access, i doubt it though. As usual all the best things from google start in the US, which is a great shame.

Apple admits

Apple has admitted there is a problem the the Nano's screen, see post.
"This is a real but minor issue involving a vendor quality problem in a small number of units."
They also pointed out that the screens are the ones used on the ipod mini's. These problems could have occured due to the 'imossibly' sized Nano and users not treating them with respect.

A new broadband service has unveiled a 24 megabit broadband for just £24, that's just £1 for a megabyte. Be as the company is known is the first company to offer 24 meg broadband. The bandwidth that the service offers is enough for a user to stream 2 high defintion television channels through their pc, all while surfing the internet or making a voice call. To subscribe customers must have a BT landline and £24 in their pocket. Customers will recieve a "be box", a wireless router with two phone ports, the company has planned to release a voip service later this year.

Scratchy Nano

Many buyers of the new Ipod Nano have found to their despair that the screen is unbelievably easy to scratch, making it hard to view pictures, one of the selling points of the Nano. The trouble with the easy to scratch screen and front, is that after a few scratches on the screen, it makes it impossible to view images as they were meant to be viewed.

This comes as a report claims the Ipod Nano only costs Apple $100 dollars to make it, when it sells for $249.

PSP Breaks All Records

The PSP has broken all records and become the fastest selling console of all time in the UK, according to figures. More than 185,000 were sold in UK shops in the first 4 days. The PSP accounts for 33 million pounds sterling. Sony want the PSP to appeal not only to gamers but to music lovers, it also boasts the ability to play films ad surf the web wirelessly. Many buyers of the PSP have returned their console complaining about a "stuck pixel" problem with the LCD screen.

The PSP is available for Â£179 in the UK and sells for $249 (Â£138).

Skype 1.4

Skype have released a Beta version of Skype 1.4 unfortunately it is only available to windows users. It has several new features, one is very interesting indeed. Call forwarding has been added to skype allowing you to forward and incoming call to another account/user, landline or even a mobile. So if you receive a call to your skype account and your not around it can be sent to your mobile, nifty. They have also added new buttons, sounds and pictures, which can be got from their webstore. Launch Of The PSP

Sony's PSP has finally launched in Europe after the delay to ensure US buyers had enough supplies. Fans had to Queue outside shops just to hear that all the stock had now gone. Sony believes that 1 million units will be sold by Christmas. The PSP went on sale in the US 6 months ago and was a huge success. The PSP is on sale for around £179, Sony expects to ship nearly 13 Million by march 2006. Many fans of the PSP became frustrated with the delayed times and began to import then from the US, Sony soon cracked down on this market bysuingg several of the importers. After i saw the release of Google Earth, i was interested to see if Google had managed to get satellite imagery for the uk, and they have. Just like the US version it depends on where you are looking, for example where i live can't be seen, but the London eye can, click here. To me it seems very rushed, very low detail overall compared with the US version. But at least it is a start!

10 000 000 360's

Microsoft is hoping to sell a whopping 10 million Xbox 360's within 12 to 16 months. The console is set to be released before Christmas in Japan, USA and Europe.
The console is going to be the first out of the big 3 to be released to the world. Sony's PS3 is due spring 2006 and Nintendo's Revolution later that year. Microsoft wants to take an early lead in the console market.

After reading several blogs today and actually looking at my browser i saw that Google's Page Rank service is either broken or turned off. Every single site i have checked "N/A" is displayed. Including Google.com, very strange, google may make a comment about this who knows, doubt it.
In other Google related news, my video that i updated to Google's Video service still hasn't been verified. Google maps uk still doesn't have satellite images, you lucky American people.

E4 for Free

Channel 4's (British channel) E4 channel is set to be released on Freeview on 27th of May. The channel has been available since 2001 with BSkyB and since March 2004 with Top Up TV. In February this year E4 announced that it will invest another 20 Million in programming, bringing the annual budget to 60 Million. E4 is available on channel 163 on sky Digital and channel 144 on NTL and Telewest Digital. E4 is the second most watched digital channel by 16-34 year olds.

BBC TV Downloads

The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) is pushing new boundaries with full length BBC TV show downloads. The Beeb hopes to provide over 190 hours of TV and 310 hours of radio for legal download. 5 thousand people will take part in a 3 month trial from September. The shows are hoped to be available up to seven days after broadcasting for people to catch up. It has not been revealed how the broadcaster is going to fund this service.

XBox 360

Google Accelerator Problems

Google released their accelerator service several days ago and many of their early users have had many problems with it, some being that the service didn't actually load, it caused problems with their browser windows and returning cached pages under other peoples user names. Google officials have removed the download link and replaced it with, see below.

I personally decided to remove the application from my browser as it caused it to shutdown without warning and cause problems with the search box. I expect that this service will be taken away after a few weeks or could possibly return more powerful and out of beta testing. If you have experienced any problems with Google Accelerator please leave a comment.

3.....2.....1... GO Accelerator

Yet another Google service from the labs. Google accelerator is the latest service available from google. The main idea of this service is to speed up everyone's surfing, more so if you have broadband. It works by storing frequently viewed sites on it's system so it is quick to load, it also sends your request through their system which is dedicated to accelerator.

I have recently downloaded it and currently i have saved nearly 5 minutes, if it is accurate. If you would like to try the accelerator out then, click here. The accelerator works with both IE and Firefox, it adds a little program into the browser, see above picture.

TPS MPS FPS?

I have recently come across this website and the main principle of it is to stop unwanted mail, calls and fax, by taking you of the "List". This service is only available in the UK, but i imagine there will be a US version somewhere. I signed up to this several days ago and it says on the site that it will take 28 days to be fully operational, after this time any company who calls you trying to sell etc, will be breaking the law.

Sober Windows Worm

A virus has swept the Technological world recently, called Sober Windows Worm (W32/Sober-N), it appears in emails in both German and English. The German version of this email appears to give the reader two free 2006 world cup tickets that have been won in a competition. The English version asks for password verification and user name verification. The worm appeared at 8pm on 2nd of May. The first Sober Worm was seen in late 2003. Security companies are urging people to keep vigilant, update there virus definitions and don't open suspecting looking emails.

I really do think google is taking over the web with it's amount of free services available. The newest service from google is Google Print, i am not really sure how this works or how this will help people. I think the basic idea is a large online selection of books, you search a word it finds books on it's system with them keywords and it then provides the books? Lost so am i. According to Google, a large amount of the information it has isn't online yet, so it may get better in a few months, who knows? I wish google would stop brining out new services and just add satellite images to the UK maps. Just like the US has.
If you live in the UK you will know that Chelsea are the champions of the Premier league and winners of the Carling Cup and are going after the champions league, which will bring them the treble. I ain't a Chelsea fan, just to tell you, Come on Boro!

360 xbox

As you may or may not know a new Xbox is on it's way. There is much speculation that it is going to be called Xbox 360. As you can probably see i have posted some pictures of the new Xbox.

Not a great view but it gives you an idea of what it will look like, sort of looks like a set top box.

As you can see there is only two items on the list and they are both relatively cheap for a whish list. But i thought i wouldn't be greedy.

1. Acer Aspire 1362 LC

It's nice and small and does everything that i need and also what i want from a laptop. I think it is about £450 - £500 ($900).

2. Mini Ipod 4GB (silver)

Well what can i say, it's small, powerful, stylish and has a large memory. I have picked the 4GB version as i don't have that many songs and i would have no use for any more space. The price, £139 ($260).

Although this is a whish list i will have to save and buy them my self, as no one will give me any money, surprisingly!

Gmail Continues

The GMail storage plan, Infinity +1, has continued to shine, it has passed the major 2GB mark. It is currently residing at 2128MB and continues to grow daily. The new storage plan started at 1GB and in about a day and a half reached 2GB, many people were predicting it to carry on that speed. Unfortunately for us, it didn't. EU to get .EU

The co's, the dots, the coms, the orgs and now the EU's. The European Commission said they will set up a EU domain registration name and it will be up and running by the end of 2005. To get this far it has taken nearly 6 years, a legal agreement was signed last month. .EU will join others like .UK and .DE. For the initial 4 months registration for the new domain name will be limited, to stop 'CyberSquatters' taking well known brands, E.g. BBC.EU. The new domain registration name should be ready for the 4th quarter of this year. Domain registration name.

The satellite feature has not yet been added, but it can only be a matter of time until it is, as the company that provides the satellite images, keyhole corporation which has been taken over by Google, has coverage all over the world. I mean come on, if you want to do a search you say "I'll just google that", well some people do. They have the best free email service on the web. Google Maps, Google Ride Finder, Google Desktop, Google Search, Google Groups, Google Shopping (Froogle), Blogger, Google Image, Google Local and probably a hell of a lot more that we don't know about. The newest of Google's Services is Google Video, it's been out for a while now, you can search TV shows and watch them on the web, But now you can upload your own video for the world to view. It was released just this week, but no one knows how it works or what happens next, as no videos have passed the verification stage, as it is still in the beta stage, so there isn't much info on it.

Too Much Space?

I was surfing the web and i came across a Shell extension drive download for Gmail. I didn't realise what it was at first but once i had downloaded it, i realised how good it was. Switch Co To Switch To Digital

Switch Co will have to roll out digital TV's region by region to a timetable that has been set by the government. The main task of Switch Co will be to keep the public informed of all the current and future changes. Switch Co has been formed y the governments request by the BBC, ITV, C4, Five and others. 60% or households across Britain have already been converted to digital TV.

Tiger is released

Yet another google post and to be honest I'm not that fussed about them. But when surfing the world wide web, i came across google maps or something sounding like that. It included aerial/satellite images of nearly everywhere in the USA. I thought cool, I'll have a look at where i live. I clicked over and there it was the humble UK, when zooming in it stopped saying they didn't have coverage in this area. Really not fair, the USA have all the best things, the newest games first and even movies first. So if anyone knows when google will be covering the UK leave a message.

Windows users are being warned of bogus websites claiming to give official windows updates. The message is being circulated by email and tells the client to go to these bogus sites. The "update" installs a virus which opens a "backdoor" to your computer, which the programs creators can exploit. Windows and other sercurity firms are urging users to check they are downloading from ligitamte sites.

Many people want weblogs or are interested in weblogs and let’s face it that has to be the case or you wouldn’t be reading this. But there are many blog websites that offer free weblogs. But which one is the best to use?

The first and most obvious one is blogger.com/blogspot.com as my blog is created using Blogger, as you can see. So what does it offer? Well it’s free, easy to use, no adverts are on the page. There are lots of templates available which will suit most tastes. Another feature is the easy access to the html code, allowing easy changes and images to be added. Another plus point is the amount of settings available to set up the blog in your way. 4/5

Blog City.com is another popular Weblog. Very easy to set up, took me about 30 seconds to 1 minute from registering to posting, although it will depend on how fast your internet connection is. The major plus point is the ability to post from AOL instant messenger, which will save time when you have a small post to make. The down points to this Weblog service are the lack of templates, Themes and features. It is merely a taster service as most of the features are available after subscription, which costs. But it is very easy to use. 3.5/5

Xanga is a site I have never heard of before, it’s a very basic service easy to use, but lack of features, layouts and themes let this service down. I wouldn’t advise to use this service as it’s not nice on the eye, poor designs and colours make it awful to look at. 2/5

I’m sure most of you have heard of typepad.com they offer a great blogger service at a cost. A great plus is the fact it is totally mobile as you can post from sms, e-mails and online. They offer built in web albums for all of your photos. Lots of layouts and themes are available but most choose to make their own. Although it costs there is a 30 day trial to use the service for free. I think this is your more advanced Weblog as you have to pay, I would advise you to use a free service before hand and work out whether or not you want to pay for a similar service, but obviously with more features. 4/5

My advice is to use Blogger or type pad, but I think the best thing to do s use blogger and practise with Weblogs for free. Then once you know what you are doing and what you want to do use a service like type pad. Both these services offer all the basics in setting up your blog. Another service is AOL Journal but to use this service you need an AOL screen name

An interesting article i saw on BBC today which would allow users of google to upload their own video to google's servers. It comes at the same time as google try a video and film service for clips. This would inevitably lead to 'video diary's' and possibly a downfall to TV as googlers could search for TV programmes whenever they want, and the TV guide would end up staying on the shelves.

Gmail Beta version has been out for now over a year, and still there are many people who don't have an account, due to invite system it uses. This has caused a lot of speculation that Gmail Beta version has finaly come to the end and Gmail will allow users to sign up in the usual manner. This has also come at a time when Gmail released it's infinity + 1 storage plan, Read Post. So are these two incidents a sign that Gmail will soon be fully released? Lets hope so as I am sure their will be even more features than their is now. But remember that this is just speculation and that it may not happen for a good time yet, as last summer their was a lot of speculation about the release of Gmail some time in august and this has not happened.

Because of gmails 1st birthday they have decieded to give all of their users unlimited storage. But instead of waiting a while until they can get this storage, they are giving it out as they can provide it. Every minute or so another mb is added to everone's storage. they only started on the 1st of april, and already they have gone above 2GB!!! for free and in another day it willbe above 3 gb, thats if it keeps going at the same speed. Alot of people now have Gmail accounts, but for those who don't have an account it is tough as it's run as an invitation scheme.
For those who want one you can e-mail me or ask your friends, or the easiest way to get one is just search the good ol' web.
